The inaugural Healthcare Symposium: Shaping the Future of Healthcare Workforce through Business Transformation was hosted by NTUC’s Healthcare Academy (HCA) at the Devan Nair Institute for Employment and Employability on 21 November 2024. This landmark event aimed to address pressing challenges in the healthcare sector, including workforce shortages, administrative burdens, and maintaining work-life balance for employees.

The symposium brought together over 50 public and private healthcare partners to explore transformative technologies designed to improve productivity and elevate patient care. Five cutting-edge solutions addressing specific industry pain points were highlighted during the event, showcasing how innovation can shape the future of Singapore’s healthcare system.

The event also saw the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding between HCA and the National Healthcare Group to enhance the skills of over 20,000 healthcare professionals, focusing on areas such as artificial intelligence, sustainability, and workplace safety.
